Being perceived as the "big funny guy" in the rooms I walk into is a name tag given to me the moment I step through the door; a judgment and a gift all wrapped up in three simple words. I seek to redefine what the “big funny guy” is capable of and to create social change for all bodies that inhabit an artistic space. I strive to create work that brings people joy, work that excites them, and gets people imagining all that is possible. Through the laughter, the anger, the love, and however many Hoffman-esque prap falls the director wants out of me, my work will never be a reflection of the tag but a challenge to those who think 3 flimsy words will ever contain me.
